a tribute to CORNELIUS CARDEW

For this new album "Paragraphs and Principles", Officer! is Mick Hobbs, Felix Fiedorowicz and Bill Gilonis alongside a stunning line-up of 30 (See more) performers from 8 countries. No one knows quite how this project came about – it’s almost an international conspiracy, and certainly a closely guarded secret. We hope only that upon their unleashing, these fierce new sounds may be heard by as many ears as possible.

Side A: tracks 1 and 2 were originally released on a 7” single in 1981; tracks 3, 4 and 5 are from ‘Slow Crimes’ (LP/CD, 1982).

Side B: tracks 2, 3 and (See more) 6 are from ‘Rubber Cage’ (LP/CD, 1990); track 4 is from ‘See’ (CD, 1992); tracks 1 and 5 are from ‘The 4th World’ (live recording from 1994, released on CD in 2010).

Goz of Kermeur :
1991 - 2000 : Still my songs,the music is organic and with the energy and the particular shape all this takes, we take most of the audiences in our psychadelic turbulence. We are three in front. Goz of Kermeur was explosive, intimate, dangerous, sweet and violent, powerfull (See more) and fragile, full of humor but completely naive. 150 concerts through europe, east europe new york and Canada, 3 albums : Goz of Kermeur (1992) Irondelles (1993) Mythoman (1996-97). Touring with the Young Gods, and Dominique A, and shared the stage with many other musicians. Such as John Zorn Masada, Napalm Death, Legendary Pink Dots, Ornette Coleman, joe baron, The Ex, New model Army... Last tour in 2000. Yves Charmillot dies of cancer in september 2001. With him the band. Best memories to our old friend…
